PORTO DE SANTO ANTÔNIO
Em 1942 foi construído o primeiro molhe, em madeira e ferro, para desembarque dos equipamentos bélicos durante a II Guerra Mundial. Próximo ao local, fez-se, a partir de 1987, o molhe atual com pedras extraídas com dinamite do morro Boa Vista. Uma boia sinaliza o lugar onde está naufragado o navio grego Elani Sthathatos, que encalhou em 1929 e afundou lentamente até 1946.
SANTO ANTONIO HARBOUR
In 1942, the first pier was built, in wood and iron, for the landing of war equipment during World War II. Next to the site, from 1987 onwards, the current jetty was built with stones extracted with dynamite from the Boa Vista hill. A buoy marks the wreckage of the Greek ship Elani Sthathatos, which ran aground in 1929 and slowly sank until 1946.
