CASARÃO DO SUESTE
Antiga residência de veraneio dos comandantes do presídio abrigou, em dois momentos, o Hospital de Beribéricos pelo clima no seu entorno e a grande quantidade de frutas cítricas existentes. Próximo a ela está a barragem da pedreira, resultante da dinamitação do morro Boa Vista, para a obtenção de pedras e construção do molhe do Porto.
THE SUESTE MANSION
The old Summer residence for the prison system commanders that served twice before as a hospital for beriberi´s, due to its environmental weather and the great quantity of citric fruit cultivated there. Close to the house, there’s the stone-quarry barrage, resulting from Boa Vista Hill dynamite explosion, in order to obtain stones for the harbour pier construction.
