With a rich biodiversity and a preserved natural ecosystem, Fernando de Noronha is acknowledged as a perfect scenario for the development of scientific projects and studies in the environmental area. Leading actions are considered, which essential purpose is to assure the environmental preservation and at the same time to allow the touristic development under controlled means.

And the General Administration of the Archipelago, having in mind its important role in the preservation and protection of the Fernando de Noronha environment, always try to support and to offer the necessary structure for the development of these ecologic projects.
